It's for residents of that area, the William Wells Brown, Equestrian View, that eastern area to come in and talk about if they were to create a shared community garden and to work with rural farmers, what type of food would they be interested in sharing and being a cooperative group with the rest of the neighborhood. So at 6 o'clock tonight at William Wells Brown Community Center, there's some good discussion about food, if you're interested in that. 7 o'clock tonight, the Meadows Loudon Neighborhood Association meets at their regular location, which is right at the corner of Loudon, beautifully streetscape Loudon Avenue, at the corner of Loudon and Magnolia. And that meeting is at 7 o'clock. You can join that group for some good discussion of the community events. On this Thursday, I'm sorry, let me go to tomorrow. Tomorrow morning will be the regular monthly meeting of the Commission for Citizens with Disabilities. I think, Peggy, we're about bursting at the seams there of our meeting space at the fourth floor of the library. Our attendance has been growing more and more and more. So it's really picking up. The commission membership is really picking up. And we do hope that you'll join us if you have any discussions or any ideas about how to improve the quality of life for citizens with disabilities here in the city. 9 o'clock usually lasts until about 10.30, fourth floor of the downtown library. And on Thursday, FYI, it's during the day, but at 10 o'clock at Duncan Park will be the celebration of the Morton House 200th year. Pretty phenomenal event. I think there's going to be some classical music playing and some history given and some speeches and lots of fun stuff, maybe even some cake. So 10 o'clock at Duncan Park to honor the 200th year of the Morton House, which is the building where the nest operates right there in Duncan Park. That's all I have. Thanks, Mayor. Council Member McCord. Thank you, Mayor. Just a couple of announcements. One, I want to send out congratulations to Lafayette student Alexandra Sanchenko. She was awarded the 2010 Congressional Art Competition. She was a winner in the 2010 Congressional Art Competition, and her art piece, Metamorphosis, will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one year. And so my congratulations goes to her, to that Lafayette senior. Also just wanted to bring people's attention to Monday, on Memorial Day, we will have Bike Lexington, which is one of the best events that we host each year. This is about the ninth year for it. And that morning, around 10 o'clock, we will have the opportunity for a 10-mile bike ride that's escorted, and cars are off the street, and it's a phenomenal time to actually get out in a safe situation and ride around Lexington. So I would encourage everyone to come downtown for Bike Lexington on Monday. Along those same lines, as everyone knows or everyone has heard over the last two years, Second Sunday was something that was started through the U.K. Extension Office that Kentucky now is becoming nationally known for, where across the state we coordinate multiple communities on the second Sunday of October and have folks close roads and invite people to come out and blade, bike, walk, push a stroller. Lexington has led that, and it is something that the nation is now looking at us as potentially a national model for communities across the country to participate. One of the interesting dynamics of that is that communities like Lexington then take it a step further and say, well, we don't want to just walk one day a week or exercise one day a year. Why can't we do this more frequently? And so we've started Second Sunday monthlies, and it's a police-escorted bike ride from 2 o'clock to 5 o'clock, starting in downtown and going out to somewhere in the city. A week ago we had a very unique press conference, Mayor, and we are doing something that no other city in the nation is doing. Our airport is lending their infrastructure to Second Sunday. On June 13th, from 2 o'clock to 5 o'clock, the very first traffic that will be had, I guess, done on the new runway will be pedestrian traffic. You'll have an opportunity to come out to the airport and blade bike walk, push a stroller on the new runway. And if you ever went out with parents or grandparents in the past and just watched planes take off or land as a Sunday afternoon thing to do that was fun, this is an opportunity to do that. Bring a picnic lunch, bring your kids, bring your family, for potentially a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but also something that no other community in the country is doing. Lexington has the opportunity to be viewed as a health solutions provider versus just being someone that is a part of a state that is poor in health and always talking about that. So this is an opportunity I would encourage all my council colleagues to come and, Mayor, you and your staff, your family to come, because it will be unlike anything in the country. The Mintel Neighborhood Association is having their quarterly meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at the Ashland School on the corner of Ashland and Kramer, and, of course, all are welcome to attend. The Goodrich Neighborhood Association has started having their meetings again. They're generally the fourth Thursday, I believe, of each month. The next one will be Thursday, June 27th, and it's at the end of Goodrich Drive. There's a vacant lot there. Various health care agencies will also be present to provide information and basic health care screenings. And then on another note, I plan on being at the Bike Lexington as long as I can ride. I'm doing my annual Horsey 100th Century Ride this Saturday, so I plan on doing the 100 miles on Saturday and hopefully I can finish 10 on Monday. But I invite everybody to come out that like to ride their bikes this weekend out at Georgetown Friday and Saturday. The Bluegrass Cycling Club puts on probably 1,800 to 2,000 people come from around the country to come to ride around our beautiful countryside. And it's a good event. You can go from 25 miles to up to 100 miles on Saturday and I think 25 to 70 on Sunday. So I recommend coming out and enjoying the nice scenery and getting some exercise. Council Member Blues. Thank you, Mayor. Last Saturday morning, the McConnell's Trace neighborhood worked with Tony Floyd and Waste Management and the Great American Cleanup Crew to begin work on cleaning up a greenway in McConnell's Trace. And the section of the greenway that we worked on was a grove of trees heavily overrun with bush honeysuckle. The developer of the subdivision, Dennis Anderson, came out with his bobcat and by the time the day was over, it cleared out all that bush honeysuckle. Those of us who didn't have our own bobcats had to work with our hands and feet and wheelbarrows and wagons to haul out barbed wire or cinder blocks, all kinds of old timbers, you know, a whole store full of tires, some of them still on the rim. So by the time everything was done, we looked like we'd been mud wrestling for several hours. It's a great example of the way that a community and a developer and the government can work together to really do some, you know, some positive environmental work and we hope with more aid from the urban county government to make this greenway and the trail that will run through it eventually a real gem in the McConnell's Trace neighborhood. It's a great project and I want to thank all those who came out on Saturday to do this work. Thank you, Mayor. Council Member Crosby. Thank you, Mayor. First, I just want to highlight one of our Parks and Rec programs, the Kitty Capers program. I was hoping we might hear about them during the report out. I want to say it's a hidden jewel within our Parks program, but over 700 kids participate with the dance program and I just wanted to highlight they just finished off a great season and especially the fact that they double their money. So I think that that's important that we highlight the programs that are actually really thriving within our different divisions and this is one of them. So I just wanted to make everybody aware of that. And then also I got a phone call from a constituent and they brought something to my attention and I'd like to see if they have received different quotes for running the same property from Parks. So they called one day and then when they had another person from their organization call back, they were quoted a completely different price on the rental. So if I could just request that I get a copy of I would assume we have standardized fees for what we charge people when they're renting our facilities. If I could just get a copy of those and then maybe over the past year if we can see what people have paid in rentals for the different facilities, I think that might be appropriate. Thank you.
