Music Hello. Hello, everyone. Good afternoon. Good afternoon, everyone. I will call the meeting to order. This is a meeting of the work session of the Council. But first we have a special Council meeting with two public hearings. And the first public hearing, which I'll call to order now, the first public hearing is related to the budget. There's a public hearing on the budget, and I will read the following. In compliance with the Urban County Government Charter, we are providing an opportunity for residents to make comments about the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. A summary of the mayor's proposed budget is on the table at the back of the room. The public hearing is now in session, and I will ask if there are any comments from the public at this time. All right. There are no hearing none. then I will at this time close the public hearing related to the budget. And next we have a public hearing related to the 2014 Municipal Aid Program, and I will read this statement. Today we are holding a public hearing on the proposed 2013-2014 Municipal Aid Program budget. As required by KRS 174.100, the hearing will include all proposed projects for which $6,917,860 is estimated to be available during fiscal year 2014. These funds may be used for supervising, inspecting, building, and all expenditures incidental to the construction, reconstruction, or maintenance of a road or street, including planning, locating, surveying, and mapping, or preparing roadway plans, acquisition of rights-of-way, relocation of utilities, lighting, and the elimination of other hazards. During the hearing, any person may speak with regard to any project which he or she feels should be built or done which has not been proposed. Priorities for completion of projects and any other matter related to road or bridge projects. The Urban County Council shall not be bound by the testimony heard at the hearing, but shall give due consideration to it. A list of proposed eligible projects for the fiscal year 2014 municipal aid program is attached. We are recommending that the estimated available funds be used for, 1. Annual street resurfacing. 2. Eligible labor costs in the Division of Streets and Roads. 3. Debt service for resurfacing bonds. 4. Major road improvements. 5. Eligible labor costs in the Division of Engineering. 6. The Pavement Management Program 7. Traffic Signal Equipment 8. Video Detection for Resurfaced Streets A representative from the Department of Planning, Preservation, and Development is here to answer any questions the Council or the public may have. And that is Commissioner Derek Paulson. So, I will now call the Public Hearing on Municipal Aid Program into session. Are there any comments from the public related to the municipal aid program?
