Good morning, everyone. It's 9 o'clock, so I'll go ahead and call to order the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government Police and Fire Retirement Board meeting. Today's April 8, 2026, and the first item on the agenda is our treasurer's report and a transfer letter, and I'll ask Chad, good morning, to give us that report. We don't have a transfer letter this month because it's so early in the month. We have not closed March yet, so we'll have two amounts next month in May. We should be able to pull it off by then. The balance of the portfolio as of yesterday was $1,071,238,998.63, which compares to last month of $1,087,923,853.04. All right, thank you. Do I have a motion to approve the treasurer's report? So moved. Is there a second? Second. Thank you, Chief. Now, are there any questions for Chad? All right, all those in favor, say aye. Aye. Is anyone opposed? All right, that motion passes. No, I mean, and raise your hand. One, two, three, four, five. All those opposed? One, two, three. I'm going to abstain. You're going to abstain, okay. So it is five to three approved. We have Betty Jo Robinson, spouse of Robert Robinson, Division of Fire. Passed away on February 27th, 2026. Thank you. Before we go to subcommittee, are there any comments? We have several retirements and a tribute. Chief Wells? Thank you, Mayor. I want to extend my condolences to Bing Robinson on the loss of his spouse and also to thank all of those who are retiring, obviously losing a lot of experience and a lot of dedication to our community. Firefighter Keyboards is moving on to accept a chief's position in Harrisburg, I believe, so I wish him the very best of luck because these are challenging spots. He might be calling you. He may be, but they are gaining a good one and we're grateful for everyone's service to our community. Thank you. Thank you. Chief Weathers? I, too, want to extend my condolences to our Division of Fire family and the loss and also to thank all the retirees for their service, Lieutenant Randall Combs especially. He's served as our chaplain and our liaison for people going through difficult times and he's certainly been a great help and a great benefit to our department, but he's moving on and he'll be sharing his knowledge at the Department of Criminal Justice training and continuing on and helping officers throughout the state. Detective Terry has been a solid member of our department and has worked really hard and he'll be going on continuing his law enforcement career and I just want to tell them both, thank you and how much we appreciate them. Thank you. Anyone else? Rock? Thank you, Mayor. I'd like to express our condolences to the family of Bing Robinson. Worked with Bing on the first platoon at the Division of Fire and his family owned Robinson Hardware on North Lyme, almost beside Ben's Family Store, if you remember those old businesses. So Bing was a really good guy and I'm sorry, condolences to his family. Thank you. Thank you. Anyone else? All right, I will add my voice to those who've spoken. I think any time we lose either the public servant or the spouse, it's a time to express our sympathies because I know that the spouses are part of this and I so appreciate those who are retiring very much and wish them well. Some of them have new adventures in front of them and appreciate their service to our community. With that, we will go to subcommittee updates and I see that Mr. Puckett is here today. Yes. Do you have any reports for us? I wish I was still down there, as cold as it is this morning. Oh my gosh. Hey, well, it's spring here. I will tell you that in Florida, it was the coldest winter since I've been going down there. And then it was the hottest winter. So it was up and down really a whole lot. But anyway, continuation of benefits, we have no complaints. Legislative subcommittee, we will be, I'm going to get with Susan here shortly after there and we will be hopefully having a meeting here very shortly. All right. Thank you very much. Lieutenant Abel is not here. Does anyone from that subcommittee have a report? There are no updates. Okay. No updates. All right. Is there anything for the good of the whole? All right. Well, I appreciate your service and I'll entertain a motion to adjourn. Second. Thank you. We have a second. All those in favor, say aye. Aye. We are adjourned. Thank you all for coming. Thank you all for being here. Thank you. Keep us together. You're the girl God took from heaven. I'm so glad I found you. Forever, forever, forever, forever, forever. I'm so glad to be around you. You are my destiny. You are my one and only. You gave that joy to me. And my whole world was lonely. It's alright, it's alright. Do it again. It's alright, it's alright. Don't let me stop it. It's alright, it's alright. Do it again. It's alright, it's alright. Don't let this love end. From the first time that I saw you, I knew it was forever. The smile and love between us, yeah. Keep us together. You're the girl God took from heaven. I'm so glad I found you. Forever, forever, forever, forever, forever. I'm so glad to be around you. You are my destiny. You are my one and only. You gave that joy to me. And my whole world was lonely. You are my destiny. You are my one and only. You gave that joy to me. And my whole world was lonely. It's alright, do it again. It's alright, it's alright. Don't let this love end. It's alright, it's alright. Do it again. It's alright, it's alright. Don't let this love end. It's alright, it's alright. Do it again. It's alright, it's alright. Don't let this love end. It's alright, it's alright. Your little hands wrapped around my finger and it's so quiet in the world tonight. Your little eyelids flutter cause you're dreaming so I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light. To you, everything's funny. You got nothing to regret. I'd give all I have, honey, if you could stay like that. Oh, darling, don't you ever grow up. Don't you ever grow up. Just stay this little. Oh, darling, don't you ever grow up. Don't you ever grow up. It could stay this simple. I won't let nobody hurt you. Won't let no one break your heart. No, no one will desert you. Just try to never grow up. Never grow up. You're in the car on the way to the movies and you're mortified your mom's dropping you off. At 14, there's just so much you can't do and you can't wait to move out someday and call your own shots. But don't make her drop you off around the block. Remember that she's getting older, too. And don't lose the way that you dance around in your PJs getting ready for school. Oh, darling, don't you ever grow up. Don't you ever grow up. Just stay this little. Oh, darling, don't you ever grow up. Don't you ever grow up. It could stay this simple. And no one's ever burned you. Nothing's ever left you scarred. And even though you want to. Just try to never grow up. Take pictures in your mind of your childhood. Oh. Memorize what it sounded like when your dad gets home. Remember the footsteps. Remember the words. Little brother's favorite songs. I just realized everything. I have a Sunday gonna be gone. Here I am in my new apartment in a big city. They just dropped me off. It's so much colder than I thought it would be. So I tuck myself in and turn my night light on. Wish I'd never grown up. Wish I'd never grown up. Oh, I don't want to grow up. Wish I'd never grown up. Could still be a little. Oh, I don't want to grow up. Wish I'd never grown up. It could still be simple. Oh, darling, don't you ever grow up. Don't you ever grow up. Just stay this little. Just stay this little. Oh, darling, don't you ever grow up. Don't you ever grow up. Could stay this simple. Won't let nobody hurt you. Won't no one break your heart. And even though you want to, please try to never go. Oh, oh, oh. Don't you ever grow up. Oh, oh, oh. Never grow up. Just never grow up. Don't be afraid, darling. You can tell me what it takes to make your world turn. And if you're willing, there's time. And if you're so inclined, just give me a sign. I want to take love lessons maybe from you. Whatever it is you want, I want to please you. I want to take love lessons maybe real slow. Teach me everything I need to know. Take my hand. Let's talk about us. Whisper soft what it is you're thinking of. I want to hold you tight. Won't you show me how tonight? Let's turn down the light. I want to take love lessons maybe from you. Whatever it is you want, I want to please you. Please you. I want to take love lessons maybe real slow. Teach me everything I need to know. Teach me everything I need to know. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need. No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read. Making love with you has left me peaceful and tight. What more could I ask? There's nothing left to be desired. Peace came upon me and it leaves me weak. So sleep, silent angel, go to sleep. Sometimes all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you. All I need is the air that I breathe, yes, to love you. All I need is the air that I breathe. Peace came upon me and it leaves me weak. So sleep, silent angel, go to sleep. Sometimes all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you. All I need is the air that I breathe, yes, to love you. All I need is the air that I breathe. Sometimes all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you. All I need is the air that I breathe, yes, to love you. All I need is the air that I breathe and to love you. All I need is the air that I breathe, yes, to love you. 7 WOMEN ON MY MIND Well, I'm a-runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load. I got seven women on my mind. Four that wanna own me, two that wanna storm me. One says she's a friend of mine. Take it easy, take it easy. Don't let the sound of your own wheels drive you crazy. Lighten up while you still can. Don't even try to understand. Just find a place to make your stand and take it easy. Well, I'm a-standin' on a corner in Weslow, Arizona. Such a fine sight to see. It's a girl, my lord, in a flatbed Ford, slowin' down to take a look at me. She said, come on baby, don't say baby. I got to know if your sweet love is gonna save me. We may lose and we may win, but we will never be here again. So open up my blinding end and take it easy. . . . Well, I'm a-runnin' down the road tryin' to loosen my load. I got worlds of trouble on my mind. Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover, but you're so hard to find. Take it easy, take it easy. Don't let the sound of your own wheels make you crazy. Come on baby, don't say baby. I got to know if your sweet love is gonna save me. Oh, we got it easy. We ought to take it easy. Yeah. . . . Big orange ball sinkin' in the water. Toes in the sand couldn't get much hotter. Little umbrella-shaped margaritas. Coconut oil-tannin' senoritas. Oh, now I know how Jimmy Buffett feels. Hands on the wheel cruisin' down the interstate. Gas pedal sticks carried my car away. I was goin' as fast as a rambler goes. I could feel the speed from my head to my toes. Oh, now I know how Richard Petty feels. Well, I've been around the block a time or two. Done almost everything a boy could do. I've done some livin', yeah, I've had fun. But there is one thing that I haven't done. Saved two months, bought a little diamond. Tonight's the night. Feels like perfect timing. I don't want a knee on Mama's front step. Man, I'm gonna die if she really says yes. I wanna know how forever feels. Well, I've been around the block a time or two. Done almost everything a boy could do. I've done some livin', yeah, I've had fun. But there is one thing that I haven't done. I wanna know how forever feels. Hey, I wanna know how forever feels. Girl, I wanna know how forever feels. guitar solo Well, first I missed my plane. So I wound up on your flight. And we got stuck in Dallas, Fort Worth half the night. And the only vacancy you could find at gate 29 was the one next to mine. Call it fate, destiny. Call it luck you ended up with me. But some things are meant to be. Coincidence, circumstance, or something bigger that's just out of our hands. Oh, some things are meant to be. City ladder was your home. Well, I happened to live there too.
