Budget and Financial Actions

Boiler Replacement and Water Softener Resolution 0152-15 authorized a contract with Lagco, Inc. for boiler replacement and water softener installation for the Division of Community Corrections. The contract amount is $278,900.

Wastewater Treatment Plant Improvements Resolution 0195-15 approved a contract with Building Crafts, Inc. for processing improvements at the Town Branch Waste Water Treatment Plant. This project is budgeted at $1,899,543.

Mr. McCarthy addressed the council regarding snow removal and street conditions. He acknowledged that main streets had been cleared of snow but noted deficiencies in other areas. Specifically, he pointed out that right-turn radiuses and left-turn lanes had not been adequately cleared.

Mr. McCarthy also shared his personal experience with snow removal efforts, mentioning his own shoveling work. He concluded his remarks by expressing hope that no additional snow would fall before his upcoming trip.
